چکیده

RADAR is a cross-disciplinary internet-based service for long-term and format-independent archiving publishing of digital research data from scientific studies projects. The focus on disciplines that are not yet supported by specific management infrastructures. repository aims to ensure access availability deposited datasets according FAIR criteriaWilkinson et al. 2016 the benefit community. Published retained at least 25 years; archived datasets, retention period can be flexibly selected up 15 years. Cloud was developed as cooperation project funded DFG (2013-2016) started operations in 2017. It operated FIZ Karlsruhe - Leibniz-Institute Information Infrastructure. As distributed, multilayer application, structured into multitude services interfaces. system architecture modular consists user interface (frontend), layer (backend) storage (archive), which communicate with each other via application programming interfaces (API). This open structure APIs outside allows integrating existing systems work processes, e. g. automated upload metadata applications using API. RADAR's encapsulated Data Center approach guarantees independence technology makes it possible integrate alternative archives bitstream preservation data. transfer takes place two steps: In first step, transferred temporary storage. ingest accepts individual files packed archives, optionally unpacks them while retaining original directory creates dataset. For file found, MIME Type (see Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions specification)) analysed stored technical metadata. When publishing, dataset created second step. this AIP (archival information package) sense OAIS standard corresponds BagIt standard. contains, addition actual order, descriptive (if created) or well manifest within one single TAR ("tape archive", unix format utility) an entity place. permanently magnetic tapes redundantly three copies different locations academic computing centres.
